Rotary District 6820 is a non-profit 501(c)(4) organization conducting the "Rotary Dream Raffle" hereinafter referred to as "raffle".  The proceeds will be used to help fund local community service projects, scholarships, literacy programs, leadership training and worldwide polio eradication efforts.  The raffle is being audited and supervised by Lightheart | Sanders CPAs of Madison, MS  hereinafter referred to as "raffle auditor" and in the event they are not able to fulfill this task another qualified CPA firm will be selected at the sole discretion of the current District Governor of Rotary District 6820.

Raffle tickets are 5 for $100 (or $25 each) and may be purchased in person from a member of a participating Rotary Club who is part of Rotary District 6820 or purchased online from RotaryDreamRaffle.com.   The odds of winning are 1 in 5000 with a $100 ticket purchase.  Raffle ticket sales begin on Sept. 15, 2018 and the raffle drawing will take place during the Rotary Foundation Gala on Jan. 12, 2019 in Jackson, MS.  Winners need not be present.   Winners will be contacted by phone, e-mail or U.S. mail as per the details provided on their ticket stub.  A list of the raffle winners will also be posted on the RotaryDreamRaffle.com website by Jan. 13, 2019 at 6 pm.

Purchasers must reside in the United States and be at least 18 years of age to purchase a raffle ticket.  The raffle is void where prohibited by law.  Valid photo identification of the purchaser of a raffle ticket may be required by a representative of Rotary District 6820 who shall be the "raffle official".    Any and all decisions related to the raffle, including whether or not a ticket is a winning ticket, will be made by the raffle official conducting the raffle drawing.  Any such decision is final and absolute, and purchasers of raffle tickets release any and all claims, of any and all type or kind, against Rotary District 6820, as well as the raffle official acting on behalf of the organization.  Incomplete, illegible, or ineligible entries are absolutely and unquestionably voidable by the raffle official at the official's sole discretion.  The ticket purchase price as per IRS tax guidelines does not qualify as a charitable contribution.

The Grand Prize winner will have the choice of a 2019 Ford F150 XLT SuperCrew 4x4 ($42,055 MSRP - Base Package) or $40,000 cash.   An additional 10 x $500 cash prizes will also separately be drawn for in sequence and awarded.  In the unanticipated event that less than 25% of the raffle tickets are sold (which equals 6,250 tickets of 25,000 total tickets printed) prior to the raffle drawing date, the raffle may at the sole discretion of the current District Governor of Rotary District 6820, be converted to a single cash prize raffle only and the winner will be awarded a cash prize equal to 50% of the total ticket sales up to a maximum of $40,000.   Rotary District 6820 makes no warranty or representation of any type of kind with respect to any prize, and all prizes are provided "as is, where is".

Winners shall be solely responsible for satisfying any and all tax liability of any kind whatsoever including, but not limited to, federal and state income tax and sales tax liability as well as the fulfillment of any withholdings and the completion of all related tax documents such as an IRS Form W2G or similar as administered by Rotary District 6820 (or a representative from their assigned CPA firm) to adhere to current federal and state tax codes prior to the release of a given prize.  Furthermore, it shall be the sole responsibility of winners to ensure that any and all tax liability is indeed satisfied and it is advised that they retain the services of a professional tax consultant.  

In the event the Grand Prize winner chooses the vehicle, he/she shall be solely responsible for any and all dealership fees, license and documentation fees, vehicle delivery charges as well as the costs of any additional vehicle options in excess of the vehicle manufacturer's suggested retail price ("MSRP") published for the selected vehicle base package.  For the 2019 Ford F150 XLT SuperCrew 4x4, the MSRP as published on the Ford.com website on Aug. 15, 2018, the vehicle base package of this model is $42,055.  A special voucher redeemable at a Jackson, MS area official Ford Dealership (as selected by the District Governor of Rotary District 6820) for the latter exact amount shall be provided by Rotary District 6820 to the winner for the sole purpose of completing the purchase the vehicle model chosen.    Any difference between the value of the latter voucher and the total cost of the final vehicle purchase price is the sole responsibility of the winner.

The Grand Prize winner shall confirm in writing their choice of prize to Rotary District 6820 within thirty (30) days from the date of the raffle drawing.  If the winner fails to confirm in writing their choice of Grand Prize within thirty (30) days of the raffle drawing or selects the vehicle prize but fails to complete the vehicle purchase for any reason within a further thirty (30) days from the receipt of their written prize selection confirmation, the Grand Prize selection shall automatically default to the $40,000 cash Grand Prize.  In the unlikely event that a winner cannot be located or fails to respond to attempts to contact them within thirty (30) days after Rotary District 6820's first attempt to contact them, such winners will be deemed to have forfeited their prize and another winner will not be drawn. The prize may also be forfeited if the winner cannot accept or receive the prize for any reason. 

Rotary District 6820 reserves the right to disqualify any entrant it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the raffle or violating these Terms and Conditions, and reserves the right to cancel the raffle should it suspect fraud or for reasons out of the control of Rotary District 6820. Disputes regarding these Terms and Conditions and/or this raffle will be governed by the internal laws of the State of Mississippi. Any claim(s) or controversy between any of the raffle participants and Rotary District 6820 arising out of or relating to the raffle and or the raffle rules and regulations will be settled by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. Any Judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator maybe entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. Caution should be taken for any attempt to deliberately damage or to undermine the legitimate operation of the raffle. Any such attempts maybe in violation of criminal and civil laws and will result in disqualification from participation in the raffle. Should any attempt be made, Rotary District 6820 reserves the right to seek remedies and damages, including all fees, such as attorney fees and court costs, to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution. A raffle winner's sole and exclusive remedy for any claim against Rotary District 6820 arising out of the sale of raffle tickets or the conduct of the raffle will be limited to the return of the purchase price paid for the raffle ticket(s). In no event will Rotary District 6820, its directors, officers, agents or representatives be liable to any party for any loss or injury to earnings, profits or goodwill, or for any incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages of any person or entity whether arising in contract, tort or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Winners grant permission for the use of their names, photographs/likenesses for advertising and promotion for this and similar promotions without compensation, unless prohibited by law.   Raffle ticket purchaser's information collected during a purchase will only be used to contact the winner of the raffle and internally for future raffles. No information will be sold or shared with any third-party websites or companies.
